Colorado Ministry

Colorado!

Shalom!  Peace be with you.  How have you been?  We are in Colorado for Cru's US missionary conference.  There have been many happens this last month.  A vicious outbreak of the deadly and contagious MERS CoV virus in South Korea has occupied many of our prayers, especially for the people who work in medical facilities as well as Jung Hye’s mom and grandma who both stayed in hospitals during this dangerous time.  Then in America there has been a continuous string of high profile issues coming to the national forefront from the attack on the Black church in Charleston to the Supreme Court decision on homosexual marriage.  So many different situations yet in all of them we see how important and powerful the love of Christ is for the entire world.

In Korea, many people cancelled their blood donations for fear of Mers, so Korea’s Cru staff and students started giving blood donations for 70 days.  Then we saw the family members of the Charleston Church victims tell the killer of their beloved family members that they forgive him.  How can they truly forgive the one who killed their family without Christ’s love and forgiveness?  One of the family members of the Charleston Church Pastor is a Cru Military missionary and she shared with us that "He (the pastor) revealed Christ’s love in his life and he revealed Christ’s love in his death.”  We pray that we can live like those who reveal Christ’s love in difficult circumstances.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

We’ve been in Colorado since June. We took 4 seminary classes and are attending Cru's US missionary Conference.  Damien is serving the conference on the production team behind the scenes.  The conference of 5,000 missionaries and 2,000 children is focusing in on the discussion about diversity, culture, and race as they relate to ministry and the mission of seeing the Great Commission fulfilled with one heart through God's people.

We praise and thank God for what we’ve heard about how God is working from missionaries all over the world; Asia, The Middle East, Africa, etc. Please pray for the ministry's of these missionaries, their families, and the health of those who are serving all over world. We are always thankful for your prayerful partnership with us.

Thank you

Prayer Requests

Ministry Schedule: We will operate a training for the Korea CCC missionaries who serve in the U.S. from July 22-23, then we'll head back to Florida. Pray that God provides for them through the training.  We are again preparing the New Missionary training (September). 80 new missionaries will be trained.  Pray that God gives us wisdom in the planning and execution. We are looking for the childcare leaders who will take care of our missionary kids during the training.  Pray that God sends us the right people.

Family: Jung Hye’s mom has not been well since January so she has stayed in the hospital once every month this year.  Pray that God takes care of Mom’s heart, health, and that the family caretakers are renewed in their strength daily.  Pray for our family to see God deeply provide for their needs.

Health: Pray that God gives us good health and a baby in his time.
