Fall New Missionary Training
Shalom! Peace be with you. How have you been? Time is flying. We prepared and helped to run our Fall New Missionary Training. Nearly 100 new missionaries attended this training! Most of them were recent college graduates who served short term overseas as missionaries and are now joining us long term. Some others had careers they are now leaving to become missionaries. 60 recent college graduates who served overseas for 2 years short term are now commissioned full-time as missionaries of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. And 40 people who had careers left those jobs to become full-time missionaries commissioned to the US campus, family, sports, relief, and other ministries with Cru. We are so thankful for each and every one of these new missionary’s lives and calling.
We’re thankful for the new missionary who was stabbed 5 times in an attack this Spring yet thankfully he survived and came to be trained this Fall. He came to be trained in a wheelchair so that he would not delay God’s calling for him as a missionary. For the new missionary couple who had been praying for the issues facing U.S. families and so surrendered their family for family ministry. We’re thankful for the new missionary who was a basketball coach and surrendered his life for athlete ministry. For the new missionaries who were missionary kids raised seeing the missionary life and surrendered their lives for missions. For the new missionary who was a nurse and after she watched a man die in an ER surrendered her life for campus ministry to share the Gospel with younger people before they die, etc… People of all kinds of backgrounds were called by God to take the missionary training and oath with us this Fall. Please pray that God leads their steps, and that many people come to Christ through them. Thank you for your prayer, love and support with us to help mobilize God’s people to reach the world.
Blessings,
“Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
