Start of the Fall

Meetings with Ministry Partners

Shalom!  Peace be with you.  The hot summer is leaving and the fall is upon us.  We finally made it back to Orlando after a long summer away.  Last month we were encouraged and challenged while visiting some of our ministry partners and churches in the D.C. area and Georgia.  We got to share about the ministry and give testimonies at several worship services.  We met a few new ministry partners and we were so blessed by everyone we got to spend time with.   It was a meaningful and powerful time with the people God prepared for us to meet.  We are thankful that we could experience God’s preparation and provision in this way.  We’ve started our new semester of ministry in Orlando and we have many opportunities on the schedule.  Please pray that we trust in the Lord and follow Him as we serve.  Thank you for your prayers, love, and financial support.  Thank you.

Fall New Missionary Training

90 new missionaries attended our fall new missionary training.  Some of them have served short term overseas and are now joining us long term.  Some others had different careers and are leaving them to become full time missionaries.  With this new class we had a deaf missionary couple take the training with an interpreter.  When they finish raising up their ministry partners they are going to serve in the campus ministry connecting with deaf students.  Seeing the training given by sign language we were challenged and excited by the thought of more deaf students coming to Christ through them.

At this training we also had a missionary who was previously homeless join us.  He and his son were living on the street until a church began to meet their needs.  Cru’s City ministry was partnering with that church and through them, this man met Jesus, and was impressed by God’s love and calling that he decided to surrender his life to God to serve others who are living like he was without knowing Christ’s love.  We could see Jesus’ love through him.  Please pray for these new missionaries. Pray that God will lead them and that many lost people will meet Jesus personally to become children of God who share the Gospel.

Prayer Requests

  1. Pray that God gives Damien more love and wisdom as he leads our National Campus Office Conference Team, and that our team of 12 missionaries will grow in oneness through the Holy Spirit as we serve together.
  2. Worldwide Day of Prayer (Oct, 4): About 190 countries will pray together in their locations for the spread of gospel.
  3. Christian Legal Society National Conference (Oct 20 ~23): Around 250 Christian legal professors, students, and lawyers will attend this conference.  Pray that they will be challenged in hearing other Christian legal people share their journeys to the highest standards of Christian faith in action as lawyers.
  4. In preparing for the winter this fall we are working on Bridges (Foreign Students) Vision Conference, short term missionaries mid year training, our spring break outreach, etc.  Pray that we are filled with the Holy Sprit, and that God gives us strength and wisdom.
  5. Pray that we trust God for a baby in His time.
