A Great Summer

Peace be with you!  We pray you’ve endured this hot summer well.  It was a long and hot for us but we had a meaningful time.  Our new team, the President’s Staff in the Global Leadership Office, has prayer meetings every Tuesday in the former office of Dr. Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ.  We pray for missionaries, the ministry, and urgent prayer requests from around the world then we get to see God’s answers to prayer.  New to being in that space, we find ourselves asking "What did Dr. Bright pray for and hear from God on in this office?”  We imagine Dr. Bill Bright, who always emphasized returning to our first love in Jesus Christ, and being filled with the Holy Spirit, praying for the lost of the world in this office.  We pray for you that you will follow the Holy Spirit’s lead in your life moment by moment and that you live intentionally returning to your first love in Jesus Christ daily.  

In July, we took a seminary class through the Institute of Biblical Studies (IBS) on Christian Worldview and Ethics.  Our professor, Dr. Carl Ellis (pictured above) from Reformed Theological Seminary taught the class.  The class gave us the chance to analyze world history and current events from God’s perspective ethically and in doing so learn how to better apply our faith to our daily ethical decisions as followers of Christ.  Great class!  The day after IBS ended Jung Hye departed for South Korea to support CCC’s board meeting.  The board members visited the national Headquarters of the ministry in Korea and heard testimonies from KCCC ministry leaders as well as other Asian CCC ministries in the region (pictured below).  It was a touching and impressive time hearing how through ups and downs God is at work in Asia and around the world through the work of our brothers and sisters there.  We say it again and again but we are so thankful for you.  Many are coming to Christ through your partnership.  God bless you!


Prayer Requests

  1. Financial Needs: We haven’t reach 100% of our financial need yet, so we are serving the ministry minimally while fund raising now. We need to reach 100% of our financial goal to serve the ministry fully.  Please pray that God prepares our ministry partners for us and provides our needs so that in September we can start serving fully. 
  2. International Orality Network (Sep 16 – 20, Florida): One of the greatest evangelistic tools in the mission field is orality. Orality ministry is focused on sharing the Gospel through means like; story, pictures, songs, videos, sign, etc.  During the International Orality Network Conference, missionaries focused on orality ministry receive training and network about how they do orality ministry in their contexts.  This is a partnership with CCC so we are preparing this conference alongside several mission organizations.  Please pray that the Holy Spirit leads every aspect of this event and that all the attendees learn how to better take the gospel orally back to their parts of the globe.
  3. Family: Please pray that we walk with God moment by moment becoming more and more a family filled with the Holy Spirit.  And pray that God gives us a baby in His time.
