Thankful

Peace be with you.  Have you had a meaningful and fruitful year?  We pray that you will experience the love of Immanuel God who is with us this Christmas and we pray you’ll have a “hope full” new year in Christ.

This year was a very meaningful year for us.  By God’s leading and answering prayer we started our new roles serving the ministry on the Global Leadership Office President’s Staff team.  We’re thankful for the opportunities we’ll have to build spiritual movement everywhere through helping our Global Student Led, Global Church Movement, Leader Impact, and Digital Strategies ministries through the vehicle of conferences.

Before we began our new roles this year, starting from Orlando we went to Georgia, North Carolina, Washington DC, New York, and Buffalo to raise our mission funds.  We had a 3,400 mile journey over two months and we are thankful that the 23 people and 4 churches that God prepared became our new ministry partners. We are deeply thankful God led us to meet with our ministry partners and that He continues to provide our needs. And we are thankful for you partnering with us faithfully through prayer, love, and finances.  We are encouraged and blessed by your partnership with us.  Thank you.

Thankful in Ministry

We began January at two Korean-American student winter conferences in LA and New York.  We were blessed to be able to serve diverse conferences this year.  In February, the missionaries of the President’s staff team visited Puerto Rico’s hurricane damaged areas to pack food and toiletries for distribution to the hurricane victims.  We also tarped damaged roofs on a home and a school.  We were blessed to serve and pray with our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters.  In June, over 280 global leaders from all over the world gathered at the Global Leadership Conference to share the progress of the Great Commission and develop specific strategies.  In July, the board of Cru visited Korea and heard testimonies from KCCC ministry leaders as well as other CCC ministries in Asia.  It was a touching and impressive time hearing how through ups and downs God is at work in Asia and around the world through the work of our brothers and sisters there.  In September, 170 evangelists and missionaries who have a focus on oral ministry attended the International Orality Network conference to receive training and network about how they do oral ministry in their contexts.  In October, we served with our partners at the International Justice Mission’s (IJM) for their staff conference.  About 1,000 IJM staff serving in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas gathered together for the first time.  They were refreshed, shared vision, prayed, and looked forward to the vision for ending modern day slavery.  Now, in November & December we are meeting with each Global ministry team to pray and plan for future conference ministry.

We are thankful for all the ministry opportunities God gave us this year. Please pray that we will serve by faith where God wants to use us and that we follow the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Prayer Requests:

  1. Global Leadership Office President’s Staff Team: we are meeting with each Global ministry team to pray and plan for the future conference ministry.  Pray that the Holy Spirit leads every meeting and that we prepare and serve the conferences God has prepared by faith.
  2. Global LDHR Leaders Training (Orlando, FL, Jan 27 - Feb 2): We have a training for Global Leadership Development and HR leaders. Pray that the global leaders from overseas travel safely, and that through the training the leaders will help serve the needs and develop the leadership of missionaries all over the world more effectively.
  3. Dental Treatment: Jung Hye’s root canal went well.  Thank you for your prayers.  She will need to get an implant treatment soon.  Pray that we will meet the right professionals, that the procedures go well, that they charge us appropriately, and that God provides our needs for the dental treatment.
  4. Family: Please pray that we walk with God moment by moment becoming more and more a family filled with the Holy Spirit and pray that God gives us a baby in His time.
