"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)
Happy New Year! We pray that the blessing of Matthew 5 will be your blessing in 2013. This will be a year of new beginnings for our family. First among the changes, after we finish raising up new ministry partners (prayerfully next month) we will be settling back down in Orlando and we will start our ministry together at the Cru National Campus Office on the Conference Team.
We’ve heard it said that missionaries need to be ready to move, ready to share the Gospel, and ready to die. We'll be moving a lot soon, not quite as far as we did last year but still a bit. We haven't found our home in Orlando yet so please pray we will recognize the place that God has prepared for us. Also pray that God will provide all our needs especially in terms of the documentation process for acquiring our home.
Right now in Orlando our team is helping train 118 new missionaries as well as prepping Big Break which is a 3000 student event where they learn how to share the Gospel and then go out and share the Gospel during spring break in Panama City Beach.
Our team of just 10 people (including us) manages around 40 conferences annually. Please pray for more workers for the harvest. Also pray that we can finish raising new ministry partners as soon as possible so that we can return to our roles at the ministry headquarters.
We are so thankful to be partnering with you this year and we are excited about how God will work through us as His team. We pray you receive the same blessings God has given us in the gift of you and your family praying for us.
PRAYER REQUESTS
1. We will be moving to the home God has prepared for us soon. Pray specifically it’s: Near Cru HQ, inexpensive, strong, has a guest room, and a good family environment.
2. Pray that God sends us 10 new ministry partners who will complete our team and support us prayerfully & financially.
3. We will be training Mt. Jezreel's teenager group in how to share their faith. Pray the Lord gives us wisdom, that the students understand God’s heart, and that they share the gospel with urgency.
4. Jung Hye's mom was in the ICU last month twice for her liver condition. Our family is watching her closely. Pray that God takes care of mom's health and this will create opportunities for the rest of our family to meet Jesus
