Peace be with you. With your prayers, we were able to finish this summer’s conferences and return safely. By God’s grace, we served at the U.S. All-Missionary Conference and the Teen Missionary Kids Program with about 5,000 missionaries and their children, the first Europe All-Missionary Conference in Germany where both Eastern and Western Europe gathered, and the Global Vision Trip with about 70 new missionaries of Korea CCC. We are deeply grateful for your prayers and partnership. Especially, at the opening session of the Europe All-Missionary Conference when a sudden downpour caused a power outage. Although the electricity came back quickly, part of the screen system never recovered, despite the efforts of local staff who worked hard on the fix. Because of that, we could not carry out everything we had prepared that day. We asked, “Lord, why did this happen?” and sought His will. The next day, one of the local workers came to Jung Hye and said,

“In the past 20 years I have worked with many people, but I was truly surprised by what I saw yesterday. Usually, when machines break down,

people get angry or complain. But you expressed gratitude for our efforts, and even the participants stayed calm and focused on the gathering.

I am not a Christian, and I used to have a negative view of them, but through this experience I’ve become open to Christians.”

We were able to have a deeper spiritual conversation and pray for him. The things we had prepared did not go as planned, but in the midst of it we were able to experience God’s wonderful plan. Please continue to pray that missionaries around the world trust in God’s wonderful plan and help lead the lost to Christ.

Prayer Requests

  1. Global Connection Conference (September): We will be serving at the Global Connection Conference, where reports and needs of global ministries will be shared with co-laborers. Please pray that many more people will catch the vision for partnership and that the needs of worldwide ministries will be abundantly met.
  2. Health: Damien’s leg pain is slowly but steadily improving. A benign tumor was found in Jung Hye’s lower back, and we are monitoring it with regular checkups. Please pray for complete healing of Damien’s leg pain, Jung Hye’s back pain, and that the tumor will not grow.
