A Summer Full of Expectation

 ‘Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV 

Peace be with you. We pray that you stay strong and encouraged in the Lord even in the hot summer. As we prepare for our summer ministries, we are also taking time to receive some necessary medical care. By God’s grace and your prayers Damien’s leg pain is gradually improving and Jung Hye is soon scheduled to see a specialist for the back pain she’s been enduring for some time. Through this period of waiting and discomfort we’ve been asking: What is God wanting us to learn through this season? We believe He desires for us to rely on Him even more deeply no matter the challenges we face. This summer, though our bodies may feel weak, we long to trust in the Lord more fully, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, and giving thanks in all circumstances. We are also lifting you up in prayer that in any hardship you may be facing you would find victory through complete trust in Him.

A Summer Full of Expectation! 

This summer we are preparing for two major events and one vision trip. First, we are serving at the U.S. All-Missionary Conference where about 3,800 missionaries and their 1,000 kids from across the country will gather. In particular, we will be helping lead the program for the high schoolers of our missionaries. Please pray that the teenagers hearts would be prepared and that they would stand firm in faith and grow to be salt and light in a fallen world. Following the U.S. conference we will travel to Europe to serve at the Europe All-Missionary Conference, where around 1,400 missionaries and 300 children from all across the continent will gather. Please pray that even amid global instability the Lord would protect every journey and gathering so that each missionary would be strengthened to move forward in bold faith in their part of the world. Finally, we will return to Florida to help with a vision trip for around 70 new Korean CCC missionaries. Please pray that God would protect their travels, and that this trip would clearly affirm God’s calling and vision for their lives, preparing them well to be sent out into their mission fields.

Prayer Requests 

1. Summer Ministry Schedule: Please pray that all aspects of our summer ministry, both preparation and execution will be led by the Holy Spirit. Pray that God grants us wisdom and strength, protects each step of our travels, and keeps us healthy both physically and spiritually.
2. Health: Please pray for our health. Pray for complete healing of Damien’s leg pain and for the relief of Jung Hye’s back pain. She will be seeing a specialist soon so please pray that she will receive the best possible treatment.
3. Financial Needs: Pray that God would fully provide all our financial needs related to this summer’s ministries, and that we would experience His faithful provision through the ministry partners He has prepared.
