Making Jesus Known

Making Jesus Known

Shalom! Peace be with you. We have just returned from the Global Connection Conference, where we shared ministry reports and needs from around the world with ministry partners. Hearing about God’s amazing work in many nations filled us with deep gratitude and great encouragement. We sincerely thank all of you who faithfully partner with us through your prayers and financial support.  Here are a few ministry updates from the Global Connection Conference.

A college student from Guatemala named Josh heard the gospel on his campus through a short-term mission team from Korea. He later got connected with the ministry, began studying the Bible, then came to faith in Christ!  He quickly received training and now is sharing the gospel with others and making disciples. Just like Josh’s story, we are seeing a spiritual movement of evangelism and discipleship among students who had never heard the Gospel before.

Prayer for Josh and Latin America

Meanwhile, we are also hearing amazing news from the United States.  According to our ministry statistics, before 2024, on college campuses it took sharing the gospel with about 14 students for one person to receive Christ. But now, on average, one out of every 8 students who hear the gospel is accepting Jesus. Among high school students, the response is even greater, about one out of every 3~4 students who hear the gospel is coming to know Christ.  Even in nearby high schools and universities more students are making decisions to follow Jesus than ever before. Please join us in praying that every family, school,  community, and nation will become people who make Jesus Christ Lord.

In Ethiopia

Damien visited Ethiopia to meet local ministry leaders and others ahead of our upcoming Global Church Movement Conference next year.  The religious composition in Ethiopia is approximately 44% Ethiopian Orthodox, 34% Islam, and 19% Protestant. Additionally, Ethiopia is currently experiencing civil conflict.  Despite all that, church planting, evangelism, and discipleship movements are actively taking place across the country.  Please join us in praying for our Ethiopian brothers and sisters who are faithfully sharing the gospel through difficult circumstances

We sincerely thank you for faithfully partnering with us, for your love and support.  If you have any prayer requests, please feel free to share them with us. We’d love to pray together with you.

Prayer Requests

1. Jesus Film Briefing (October): We are serving a briefing on the Jesus Film ministry, one of the most powerful tools for evangelism. Pray that through this time people catch the vision and join in the mission so that many more come to know Jesus Christ around the world.

2. Pre-Conference Visit to East Asia and Southeast Asia: Damien will do pre-conference visits for two conferences happening next year. Pray that God grants him wisdom, strength, health, and protection on his journeys.

3. Health: Damien is receiving physical therapy for his leg pain, which has been helping greatly, and Jung Hye is undergoing medical treatment for her back pain. Pray that all our treatments go smoothly and that we experience complete recovery.
