The months since our return from Korea have been so full that we haven't been able to share everything going on or coming up in one letter very well. So here is a condensed version of things today and things to come.
First, a praise report. We received the green card! We now have everything we need to setup things in the States logistically for Christina. It is too long a story to share here, but we are praising God because we have the first official document in America with her married name (Jung Hye Han Brooks). We were told this would take a year or more, but God knew the desires of our hearts and He provided. Amen!

Also. the last few weeks we've been at our last planned training which is in Colorado. The training, Xtrack is the cross cultural training of Cru to prepare staff for long term service internationally. There are people here from over 6 countries, going to over 10 different countries to serve. Christina and I have another couple weeks here. And just in case you were wondering, we have not been in direct danger from the fires although there were several days we could see and smell the smoke. The Lord and the firefighters kept the flames just a few miles west of us, but there are many families in Colorado in need of our prayers both in this area and south of Denver.

After we leave our training in Colorado we'll be meeting with potential ministry partners in California before we slowly drive our way back across the country. Being from Korea, Christina has no ministry partners in America so we are praying for the Lord to connect us with enough people in LA to keep us busy for at least two weeks. Right now, we do not have that many people to contact so we are truly going there on faith. Please pray with us that the Lord fulfills His purpose for sending us to LA and that we are faithful in our part.
Before we get back to the DC area, Christina and I would love to see you if you're in the southern part of the States during the month of August. Please drop us a line even if you can't meet us. We would love to know how we can be specifically praying for you and celebrating with you what God is doing in your life.
