What Are You Waiting For?

Romans 5:3-4  Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
What are you waiting for?  We are waiting to meet our new ministry partners.  A few days ago some friends and ministry partners introduced us to their Sunday School class so we could share about our ministry.  The challenge was we couldn’t contact our friend/the teacher before Sunday so we had to wait until the morning of the class to ask her if we could share.
So as we headed to church that morning we prayed that the Lord would open a door for us and we hoped our friend might give us 2 or maybe 5 minutes of class time.  But on the way to church there was an accident with tons of traffic so we arrived 30 minutes late.  Thankfully (providentially), the first worship service went long so Sunday school started 30 minutes late.  When we got to the church we walked into the class and met with our ministry partner, the teacher of the class.  She told us she thought God prepared that time for us and as we were about to begin she said she would give us the remainder of the class time before the next service started which was about 30 minutes!
After the class she told us she arrived at church at the same time we did, from the same direction we came, hitting the same traffic.  Before she got to church she stopped by a print shop to get her teaching materials ready for distribution to the class but the shop had changed their hours of operation so she couldn’t get anything printed.  On the way in she asked God to lead her in what she should do that day.
We are thankful for how God prepared that time for us and for our friend following the move of God and giving us the time to share.  In that class we shared what God has done and is doing in the ministry to the 50+ people there and nine people wanted to connect later.  We are always thankful when God sends us ministry partners as we actively and prayerfully wait.  We pray you have a happy and blessed holiday season as you are waiting on the Lord.
