Peace be with you! Fall is already upon us. We pray that your harvest season is a bountiful one.
We are still getting settled into the ministry at headquarters. Jung Hye especially being in a different culture needs more time to learn and adjust than she initially expected. Please pray that God gives us wisdom and patience through the process.
In the last month things have started to pick up speed. Damien received his 10 years of service anniversary award from Cru. We thank God for His calling, love, and grace as we serve. This month we also served operationally for our new staff at their recent training. These are people who have surrendered their lives to become missionaries following God’s call as we did. Of this group there are 52 who served as short term missionaries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East last year who are now joining us to serve long term in missions. There are also 35 people who had secular careers until they surrendered their lives to long term missionary service as well. As a special treat, Vonette Bright, Co-Founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, led the commissioning ceremony for this most recent group of trained missionaries.
Now that training is over these men and women will go meet their ministry partners and raise support for the mission God is calling them on. They will do their best to share the Gospel, build, and send the Lord’s faithful disciples all over the world. Please pray that God provides their needs, and that the lost come to Christ through their partnerships.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah (Psalm 62:8)
PRAYER REQUESTS
1. Ministry Schedule: Pray that we settle down in our ministry and that God gives us wisdom & patience in the settling.
2. Language: Damien is taking a Korean language class in a local church. We both desire to improve our communication skills for life and ministry. Please pray that God helps us improve our language abilities so that He can use us outside our own cultures even more.
3. Family: Pray that God takes care of Jung Hye's mom's health and that she and the family have personal encounters with God.
4. Housing: We are nearing the completion of the contract. Pray that the process quickly comes to a close.
Remember You're Blessed!
