Don’t worry… Give up!
“I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalms 34:4)
God’s love is with you! How have you been in the changing seasons? Having wrapped up the summer’s ministry, the fall and winter are already waiting for us. We were asked to step in and help prepare the program for the Impact winter conference which is primarily focused towards the African- American college student community. As we prepare please pray that we are sensitive to the Lord’s direction for the conference, that the students experience the life changing power of Christ while they are with us, and that they go deeper in their relationships with God as a result.
Recently, Damien has been practicing his language skills by translating English songs into Korean. He translated the song, “Don’t worry, Be Happy” to Korean, but when he sang it, to me, I heard “Don’t worry, Give up” because “happy” and “give up” sound similar in Korean. But the song “Don’t worry, Give up” was more encouraging to me, because it sounded like “Don’t worry, give up your worries to God”. We pray that when you have in difficulties, troubles, or worries, you give them up to God. Peace & answers from God are just a prayer away. Thank you for your prayerful support. As St. Paul says, we pray that God will provide all your (and your family’s) needs. Thank you.
We had time as a ministry to give up to God in our World Wide Day of Prayer on Oct 1st. We heard from many missionaries the needs and prayer requests they have from all over the world and prayed for them. Praise God that when we pray, He works.
A few things to celebrate… God has done amazing things through your prayerful support this last year (Aug 2012 ~ Jul 2013) in our Campus ministry, 11.8 million people heard the Gospel, 154,298 people became new believers, 16,234 students engaged in evangelism and we have 2,591 campus ministry locations. Praise God!
“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
