Happy New Year!

I just realized I mailed this last month but never posted it online.  Sorry about that.

God’s love be with you. It’s 2014!  What prayer requests do you have for this year? We pray that God will do new things in your life and for your family.  Here are some updates.

OUR HOME: Thank you for your prayers.  In December we ended our search and finally closed on a townhouse near our headquarters!  We are excited and humbled by God’s provision.  We hope we can host you sometime.

IMPACT 2013 National Conference: We finished last year and started this year serving on the program team for the IMPACT National Conference.  Nearly 1,000 African American students and alumni attended this conference from December 28th to January 1st in Atlanta.  Because of your prayers, many of the attendees met Jesus personally and saw their lives changed through the conference. Thank you.

We are especially thankful for the day of outreach on the last day of the conference.  Some of the results that we had were: spiritual conversations with 1,037 people, 336 people having heard the complete Gospel, 78 people receiving Christ, 43 people re-dedicating their lives to Christ, and 210 people committing to follow up with one of our local partnership churches.  Hallelujah!  Please pray that the students who attended the conference will continue to see the urgency in sharing the Gospel back on their campuses to make disciples who will become the next generation of Christian leaders.

Summer Project Director’s Training: As soon as the new year began Damien went to Denver to help facilitate training for 450 of our leaders who are going this summer to locations all across the U.S. and around the world, many for the first time.  These leaders will be leading teams of students on mission to tell people about the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. We're equipping them to handle logistics (finances, securing airfare and lodging, crisis management, etc..), and also know how to think through strategy, lead, and love their teams.

We heard some awesome testimonies of how God has been and is working.  We are expectant that he will do great things this summer.  One really encouraging one was that we are sending out our first international summer project of Native American students to East Asia.  Please pray for the leaders and students going on these projects as they prepare.  

We expect to see God work in great ways this year.  And we get to see it because of great partnerships. Thank you and God Bless.

PRAYER REQUESTS

1. Ministry Schedule: Pray that God gives us strength in this busy season, and that we are continuously fulfilled by the Holy Spirit as we serve.

  A. New Staff Training (Jan 5~Feb 8, Daytona Beach) : 121 new missionaries are being trained this winter. Please pray for their preparation.

  B. Cru High School Leadership Conference (Feb 2 – 6, Orlando): Our High School ministry leaders will attend this conference to share strategies and vision. Pray that the leaders will be encouraged and challenged.

  C. US National Leadership Conference (Feb 15 ~21, Orlando): Our college campus national leaders will attend and share the vision and strategies. Please pray that God gives them one heart and that they are refreshed so that they can lead their local ministries well.

2. Financial Needs: We need $600 monthly. We believe God will send us ministry partners’ and provide for our needs. Pray that we experience God’s faithful provision.

3. Family: Please pray for Jung Hye’s mom and our family to have deeper relationships with God.
