Big Break 2015

Shalom!  Peace be with you. We were in Panama City Beach (PCB), Florida for the month of March.  Warm weather drove hundreds of thousands of students from all over to PCB for their spring breaks.  Police were in force because of the number of students and of accidents and crimes historically.  Our spring break evangelism outreach to share the Gospel with the lost was a light in the darkness.

Nearly 3,000 Cru students attended Big Break. We trained our students in how to share the Gospel.  Sharing on the beach in the afternoons and giving testimonies each night, they had spiritual conversations with 13,096 people, shared the Gospel with 5,577, and saw 563 pray to receive Christ! They also shared about how to be filled with the Holy Spirit with 415 people.  We wish you could hear all the testimonies from each evening of what God did and hear from the students we got to connect with over the course of the month.  Here are a few highlights.

We had a contingent of hearing impaired students (one pictured above) attend the outreach training.  Several students spoke via the interpreters of their time sharing the Gospel on the beach.

Then there was Jackie who attended Big Break last year because her friends raised the needed funds for her.  She met Jesus personally during Big Break 2014.  After surrendering her life to God she came Big Break this year to help others have an encounter with God over spring break.

Dominique (above) attended Big Break because of her campus staff’s urging.  She needed to, wanted to, and did receive Jesus as she was receiving the evangelism training at Big Break.  As she shared her testimony on stage with tears falling down her face she said “It’s been a long time since I’ve been happy like this.”

Jung Hye met a student who came as a part of Big Break and they spoke seriously for awhile.  She wanted to have a relationship with God but she didn’t know how to yet.  Jung Hye shared the Gospel with her and the girl joyously received Jesus.

Jung Hye met another student from China who came with our group who introduced himself as an atheist.  As they spoke he stressed “God does not existed.”  Jung Hye shared the Gospel with him as well but he didn’t want to believe.  He like many others is adamantly closed to Gospel today but we share about God’s love in hopes that they will one day open themselves to Jesus Christ.  Please pray with us for the lost who don’t know Jesus personally yet.

As always we are so appreciative of your great partnership with us.
Blessings!

(May 8th – 16th, Orlando): About 30 new missionaries are being trained to be sent all over the world in May.  As we run this training pray that God gives us wisdom and fills us with the power of His Holy Spirit to help prepare these new missionaries well.

2. Family: Pray that God takes care of our family’s health and that they meet with Him.

3. Health: Pray that God gives us good health and a baby in his time.
