Happy New Year!

We pray that you find strength in the Lord and that this year is filled with many things you can be thankful to the Lord for.  We welcomed in the new year at the Bridges Vision Winter Conference. We were in Daytona Beach with one thousand foreign students from 23 countries spread all over the world.

Most of them are from countries where they can’t openly hear the Gospel so about half of the attending students didn’t know Jesus personally but wanted to learned more about  Him.   This year the conference theme was Destiny.  Charles Duke (pictured above) who is one of the twelve people to ever walk on the moon shared his testimony about finding his destiny not in walking on the moon but years afterwards in relationship with Jesus.  He came from a place of being on top to realize “My destiny depends on my decision about Jesus.”

We also had a Chinese student (pictured above) who met Jesus personally this last year through the Bridges campus ministry share her testimony from the stage.  She challenged many students in similar situations as she was about coming to faith in Christ in spite of cultural obstacles.

One of the ways we shared the Gospel to this diverse group of students was via  dramatic story telling (pictured above).  And as usual we shared the Gospel specifically during each culture track time as much as possible in their heart language (pictured above).

We’re thankful for these students from different countries, cultures, and languages, coming together to praise and learn more about God.  Pray with us that they will be His light to the world.  After the conference the students are reengaged on campus to continue growing to know Jesus more. The goal is to train international students to be people who share the Gospel as a lifestyle wherever they live.

Please pray that many more lost will come to know the love of Jesus and come to Him through these students both here and in their home countries. Thank you for  your prayers, love, and financial support in this new year.  Blessings!
