Happy New Year! We finished the year in San Diego (Dec 18 ~23), and started the new year in New Jersey (Jan 2 ~6) serving at the Higher Calling winter conferences. About 450 Korean and Korean American college and high school students from the LA area attended the conference in San Diego conference. About 300 students from the New York area attended the conference in New Jersey.
The theme was “All Things New.” We began both events with a day of fasting and prayer focused on ourselves, our families, our campuses, and the nation. Some of our student leaders decided to fast everyday to pray for their disciples. Every room had a student leader lead a morning and evening devotion & sharing time. This was a time for the students to pray for each other and encourage each other. Many met God personally through His word being shared, praise and worship, and the various seminars. They confessed their sins and turned to come to God through the programs and especially during the prayer times.
One student who didn’t know God before attending received Jesus personally during the conference. She forgave her parents and the world she felt hated her. Another student prayed for her older brother who attended the conference with her. God answered her prayers and her brother received Jesus personally during the conference. Please prayer for these precious ones. Pray that their faith grows through the word, prayer, training, and that they live as evangelists who will share the Gospel wherever they go.
We are thankful for what God has done and that He is walking with us in this new year. We are continually thankful for you supporting us faithfully with your love, prayer, and finances. We pray that God will do a new thing in your life and family in this year. Thank you.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18~19).
Prayer Requests
- Sabbatical Month: We’re on sabbatical for the month until Feb 9. Please pray that we will meet God deeply and be refreshed spiritually and physically as we finish our sabbatical. Pray God leads our steps after the sabbatical as well.
- Family: Please pray that God improves our health and gives us a baby in His time.
