We Are Praying for You

Peace be with you. How have you been?  We pray with a heavy heart as we see people in trouble due to the COVID 19.  We pray that all of your families will be healthy and have a chance to draw closer to God in this unique time.  We’ve been switching all our ministries to fully online, having meetings via video calls.  One “In Real Life" conference, planned for April, has taken much of our attention as we squeeze months of preparation into a few weeks converting it into an online experience.  Although ministry activities have been changed or postponed, we are thankful for the internet and electricity which allows us to continue serving. We can’t know all the ways you have been effected by this virus but we pray that God encourages you, that He gives you and your family peace, and that we all overcome this time more in love with the Lord and with those around us.

Short Term Missionaries Sent “to” the United States

16 young short term Korean missionaries visited Cru’s World Headquarters from their mission field in Georgia for a vision trip before the virus began to effect America.  They just graduated from college or took a leave of absence to come to the USA to share the gospel on American campuses.  Even though they are not native English speakers they share the gospel and disciple students on campus everyday.  We had the privilege of hosting them for a day.  We shared stores of God’s work in our lives and prayed together with them.  Due to COVID 19, the ministry of evangelism and discipleship on campus has also become virtual.  Please pray that many students get to hear the gospel and meet Jesus personally through them.

Jesus Film Briefing

At the end of February Damien was able to serve at a Jesus Film briefing, a Cru ministry, for ministry partnership.  The Jesus Film has been translated into more than 1,700 languages. Through this briefing more people caught the vision of partnership with the Jesus Film.  Because of partners and missionaries using this tool worldwide in the last year: 22 million people came to Christ and 220,000 churches or multiplying groups were planted.  Amazing!  Millions of people were using the JesusFilm app to share the Jesus Film and other evangelical short films before COVID 19.  Imagine the possible impact now as we step out in faith to talk to our loved ones about God at home.  Please pray that the JesusFilm will be translated into more languages, and that the Gospel will be creatively spread to places where it has not yet entered.

1. Ministry Schedule: Please pray that while we prepare conferences that are postponed or changed, that the Holy Spirit leads us and gives us creative ideas, wisdom, and the skills appropriate to each situation.

2. Family: Please pray that we walk with God moment by moment becoming more and more a family filled with the Holy Spirit.  Pray the Lord gives us spiritual and physical strength to serve Him and pray that God gives us a baby in His time.
