We're So Thankful

“And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed,  turned back, praising God with a loud voice.” (Luke 17:12-15)

We’re so thankful

Peace be with you. We pray that you and your family are healthy.  In Luke 17, ten lepers lifted up their voices and asked to be healed then Jesus healed them, but only one person turned back to praise God with a loud voice.  As we meditated on these words we realized that there were many things to give glory and thanks to God for this year, but we also realized how much we had overlooked.  We thank God who answered even our smallest moans this year, waited for us, walked with us, and encouraged us with His love. We also sincerely thank you for your faithfully partnership with us in sharing your love, prayer, and finances. By God’s calling and your precious partnership, we are able to serve the ministry God entrusted to us. Please pray that next year we will be filled with the Holy Spirit and serve with faith in the ministry that helps fulfill the Great Commission all over the world. Thank you.

Jesus Film Briefing

This month we served the Briefing for JesusFilm ministry, one of the most powerful evangelistic tools.  About 500 ministry partners attended this briefing to learn about biblical stewardship life, heard the needs of the Jesus Film ministry, and had a time to be challenged.

We heard of a young woman whose new abusive step father asked her mother (his new wife) to convince her daughter to become his second wife, forcing the young woman to leave her home and set out on her own. She would come home after work feeling lonely and tired so she always looked for an escape in her smartphone. One day she happened to see the Jesus Film on social media and came to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She got connected to a local group of believers through the Jesus Film app, started studying the Bible, then her life began to change.

Another story was of a ministry partner at the Briefing who had prepared and built the house of her dreams.  She and her husband had paid off all the loans and loved their house.  Then God showed them a need in the harvest field and gave that couple a heart to give the house of their dreams for people to come into God’s house so they gave their house for God’s Kingdom. Although she gave up the house she dreamed of, she confessed that she was grateful for giving it so that more people could come to the most beautiful house of God. As we listened to testimonies from ministry partners who are giving the first fruits of their time, finances, and life for the kingdom of God, we sought the Lord on how to give our best for His kingdom next year.

Former president of CCC/Cru, Steve Douglass Is With Jesus

Steve Douglass, former president of Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru, passed away October 29th at age 77.  Until a few weeks ago, Steve attended prayer meetings together with our team, spoke at events encouraging partnership for Great Commission, and encouraged missionaries across ministries so it’s hard to see him leave us physically. We respect, love, and miss our former President Steve Douglass who intentionally devoted himself fully to the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Prayer Requests

  1. Health: We heard from Damien’s doctor that he has kidney stones. He will meet a specialist and receive treatment. Pray that the treatment process proceeds smoothly so that the stones are removed without any side affects.
  2. Global conferences: We are in the process of planning and preparing for next year’s global event ministries. In the midst of all the process of preparation, pray that we are filled with the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and power.
