Transition Update
This has been a month of information gathering. We've been researching our options to make our US return in light of Christina's mom's health. And I can tell you things were much easier logistically speaking when we were planning just to leave Korea in January. Our status changes so significantly in Korea once we receive the green card that the task of staying at mom's side will require substantial maneuvering on our part. Because of how things will change (and how many things will change) we are unsure what our next step should be, which means we've been praying even more than usual.
This pending transition and moms health have been consuming our thought and prayer lives of late. We would so greatly appreciate your prayers with us as we seek to honor God with our decisions on how and when to move.
Speaking Engagement
Not all of our month was transition focused. Mr. Hwang, who is our team leader in Korea asked us to come speak to the youth service at the church he pastors. I say us because Christina was my translator. The youth responded well and it was encouraging for us to share with them.

Since arriving in Korea I've been hit by the seemingly national obsession with appearances. It is embedded in the culture to the point that the most popular gift for graduating high school senior girls is plastic surgery for their eyes. The definition of physical beauty culturally is quite specific in Korea. So specific that it is not uncommon for a daughter to never hear her father tell her she is beautiful.
So I was lead to speak on true beauty as defined by our Lord. As can see by us being made in the image of the perfect creator. (1 Peter 3:3-4 & Genesis 1:25-27)
A week later the church leaders asked us to come back to share again before we leave Korea, but because of the current uncertainty of our exit plan we can not give them a confirmed date yet.

There are many pieces to the puzzle we are trying to assemble. But the puzzle would not even be on the table without you. Christina and I are so thankful for you. We've been thanking God a lot especially recently for the opportunities we have to serve him because of people like you who are part of our puzzle. Thank you for your sacrificial prayers and giving.
